Net Cost of Attendance

Understanding the costs of attending Gannon University is important to make an informed decision.  Students should consider both direct costs that are charged by the university, like tuition, fees, and on-campus housing, along with indirect costs that the student will not be charged for but may incur like off-campus housing, food, books, and transportation.  The direct and indirect costs combine to form the student’s Cost of Attendance, which is used to determine eligibility for financial aid.  A student’s total financial aid package including grants, scholarships, loans, work-study, and outside scholarships, cannot exceed the cost of attendance.

After a student completes the FAFSA and pays their enrollment deposit, net cost of attendance (Costs – Scholarships/grants/loans/work study) will be available on the College Financing Plan and award letter found on the university’s Self-Service website.  An estimate of the total cost of attendance for future award years may be found on the following pages.

Financial Aid Renewal

In general, most institutional aid is renewable if the student is pursuing their first bachelor's degree, is registered full-time, and is meeting the university’s established Satisfactory Academic Progress standards.  Please note that some academic awards require the student to maintain a higher GPA standard.  A listing of these awards and requirements may be found on the Important Information Regarding Financial Aid Brochure.
