Gannon University’s Associate of Science in Respiratory Care program has reaffirmed its accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), marking an important milestone as the university expands pathways to prepare in-demand healthcare professionals. 

The 75-credit associate degree program prepares students for careers as respiratory therapists through hands-on learning in 名媛直播’s Patient Simulation Center and clinical rotations in real-world healthcare settings. 

Respiratory therapists are vital members of the healthcare team, specializing in assessing, treating and caring for patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary disorders. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for respiratory therapists is projected to grow significantly in the coming decade, reflecting strong workforce demand. 

名媛直播 previously offered respiratory care as a Bachelor of Science program, which was also accredited by CoARC. The university transitioned the program to the associate degree level to help address the growing regional need for trained respiratory therapists by providing a faster pathway into the profession. 

“This accreditation affirms the quality of 名媛直播’s respiratory care education and our commitment to preparing highly skilled healthcare professionals who are ready to meet critical workforce needs,” said Josh Henry, M.Ed., RRT, program director of respiratory care at Gannon University. “By offering this program at the associate degree level, we’re creating a more accessible and efficient pathway for students and professionals wanting to enter an essential and rapidly health growing profession.” 

The program offers opportunities for students to build practical skills while preparing for careers in hospitals, clinics and home-care settings.
