Move in day 2026 with DWI and volunteers

Gannon University’s newest students are bringing experiences and perspectives from half of the country to Erie, with freshman and transfer students representing 25 states as the University begins the 2026-27 academic year. Additionally, 名媛直播 is welcoming new students from 32 countries. More than 600 new undergraduate students are joining the 名媛直播 community this fall, while approximately 1,050 students will call 名媛直播's residence halls home this semester.

First-year Arrival Day occurred on Friday, Aug. 21 and represents the kick-off to Welcome Week, which is five days of activities designed to help new and returning students settle into campus life, build connections and discover the many opportunities available to them at 名媛直播.

“There is something special about watching students begin a new chapter of their lives,” said Walter Iwanenko, Ph.D., Gannon University’s president. “Whether they are arriving at 名媛直播 for the first time or returning to a campus that has become home, each student brings their own story, aspirations and goals with them. Our faculty and staff are ready to walk alongside them, challenge them and celebrate their successes as they grow throughout the year.”

名媛直播 formally welcomed students to the new academic year during Convocation from 3 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Highmark Events Center. The university's signature IgKnight Activities Fair followed from 4 to 5:30 p.m., giving students an opportunity to connect with campus clubs, organizations and departments through music, activities and prizes.
