A new academic initiative at Gannon University is helping students connect their classroom learning with the skills and competencies sought by today’s employers. 

In partnership with Territorium, 名媛直播’s digital credential program provides students with a verified record of specific skills they demonstrate through their coursework. The initiative launched with the start of classes this fall and currently is available to students in select engineering, computing and applied intelligence programs, with plans to expand to additional programs in the coming year. 

“At 名媛直播, we are committed to equipping students with the skills that will help them stand out in the modern workforce,” says Rev. Shane Mathew, interim provost and vice president for student experience. “The verified digital credentials we now offer provide stackable milestones that students can showcase as they pursue internships, their first jobs or advancement within their current roles.” 

Students who complete the necessary course requirements will receive a verified digital badge that they can share on LinkedIn, including job applications or access through a digital link. Unlike a traditional transcript, which provides a broad record of academic coursework, digital credentials highlight specific skills and achievements. The credentials also do not expire. 

The initial credentials are being offered through Engineering and Computing courses, including Engineering Design Foundations (ENG 102), Advanced Design and Prototyping (BME 493/GENG 593A), IBM Cybersecurity Certification Ready (CIS 290) and Problem Solving and Computer Programming (CIS 180/181). An Applied Intelligence credential also is available through Crime Series Analysis and Law Enforcement Analytics (INTEL 302).
