There will be significant changes to traffic patterns and pedestrian access near our Erie campus that coincide with PennDOT’s Central Bayfront Parkway Project. Some of these changes begin July 14 while others will begin on July 21.

These changes will affect access to campus, so please review the following key updates:

• The Sassafras Street Extension, which runs from the West Bayfront to Front Street, will be closed.
• West Third Street from Peach Street to Sassafras Street will be converted from one-way to two-way traffic.
• There will be no parking on either side of West Third Street.
• State Street will be closed between Second Street and the Bayfront Parkway.
• Vehicle detours will route traffic via Holland Street, East Third Street and the Bayfront Parkway for the remainder of the summer.
• Pedestrian detours will be posted along West Third Street, Holland Street and East Front Street.
• There will be no parking on West Second Street from Peach to Sassafras streets.
• Temporary pedestrian access on State Street will be allowed Aug. 22 through 24 during the Tall Ships Erie Festival.

Please plan for delays and altered routes around campus and follow posted signs for your safety and the safety of construction crews.
