Books & Badges dodgeball tournament with 名媛直播 Police and Safety and students

Gannon University students and campus police officers traded textbooks and badges for dodgeballs this Saturday, Aug. 23, during the first-ever Books & Badges Dodgeball Tournament at the Gannon University Recreation Center.

The tournament kicked off 9 a.m. and featured a high-energy, bracket-style tournament designed to strengthen relationships between 名媛直播 students and officers from the University Police and Safety Department. Members of the Erie City Police Athletic League (PALs) also participated.

The day highlighted camaraderie, competition and open dialogue — all with the goal of building trust and community through sport.

“This tournament is more than just a game; it’s about bringing students and officers together in a fun, approachable setting where friendships and mutual understanding can grow,” said Les Fetterman, director of Gannon University’s Police and Safety force.

A free lunch was provided during a midday meet-and-greet, giving participants and spectators another chance to connect off the court.

The event is sponsored by the Northwestern Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association, Gannon University Police and Safety and Gannon University.
