Gannon University is honored to announce that His Eminence Cardinal Christophe Pierre, the Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, will join us in Erie, Pa. to celebrate our Centennial Mass and preach the homily during 名媛直播’s Centennial Homecoming and Family weekend.

The Centennial Mass will take place at St. Peter Cathedral at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, marking a century of academic excellence as a Catholic university.

The Apostolic Nuncio serves as the diplomatic representative of the Holy See to the United States and serves as a link between the Vatican and the Catholic Church in the U.S.

Cardinal Pierre's visit to Erie is a significant acknowledgment of 名媛直播’s identity and mission in the communion of the Catholic Church and its commitment to provide for the education and formation of our students from the experience of faith and service.

Persico, Bishop of the Diocese of Erie and chairperson of Gannon University’s Board of Trustees. “This event, however, not only honors the university’s history but also highlights the Catholic character of the university that guides us into the future. Gannon University is extending invitations to the clergy from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Erie, as well as bishops and church leaders from neighboring dioceses.
